Privacy Policy

The short version

Your files and tool inputs are processed in your browser and never uploaded to our servers (with three clearly-labeled API exceptions listed below). We collect only anonymous usage analytics, and our advertising partner may set cookies if you consent. We do not sell personal data. Ever.

1. Data processed by the tools

Browser-local tools (the vast majority): images, PDFs, text, and numbers you enter are processed entirely on your device using JavaScript. They are never transmitted to QuickToolz servers, never stored, and cease to exist when you close the page. This applies to all calculators, all text tools except the spell checker, all developer tools, all PDF tools, and all image tools except the background remover.

API-backed tools (the exceptions):

• Background remover: your image is transmitted over HTTPS to the Remove.bg API for AI processing and returned. Per Remove.bg's policy, images are deleted after processing.
• Spell checker: your text is transmitted over HTTPS to the LanguageTool API for analysis and is not stored after the check.
• Currency converter: the page fetches public daily exchange rates from the Frankfurter API. Your amounts are converted locally and never sent.

2. Data we collect site-wide

• Anonymous analytics: page views, referrer, country, browser and device type — aggregated, without personal identifiers, used solely to improve the site.
• Contact form: if you write to us, we receive the name, email, and message you submit, used only to reply. We delete contact messages after 12 months.
• Server logs: our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes IP addresses transiently for security and delivery, per their own privacy policy.

3. Cookies and advertising

The site shows display advertising, which is how it stays free. If you click "Accept" on our cookie banner, Google AdSense may set cookies to show more relevant ads; if you choose "Essential only", ads are non-personalized. Your choice is remembered for 365 days in a single cookie. You can also opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings or youronlinechoices.eu.

We use one localStorage item (qt-theme) to remember your dark/light mode preference. It contains no personal data.

4. Your rights (GDPR & CCPA)

If you are in the EU/EEA, UK, or California, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export personal data we hold about you, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. Because our tools don't send us your data, in most cases we hold nothing about you beyond any contact-form messages. To exercise any right, email hello@quicktoolz.com — we respond within 30 days. California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA, so no "Do Not Sell" action is needed.

5. Children's privacy

The site is a general-audience utility service and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your country). The tools require no account and no personal details to use.

6. Data security

All pages are served exclusively over HTTPS. Because tool processing is local-first, the most effective security measure is architectural: data that never leaves your device cannot be breached on our side.

7. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and note the change here. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
